Method
- Combine apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
- Mix oats, flour, sugar, melted butter, vanilla, baking powder, and salt until crumbly.
- Layer apple mixture in CrockPot, then spread oat topping evenly over.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until apples are tender.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For a crunchier topping, bake the oat mixture separately and add before serving.
