  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening optional, for smoother chocolate
  • Optional toppings sprinkles, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, sea salt

Method
 

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Wash and dry thoroughly.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Melt chocolate chips with shortening (if using) in a double boiler or microwave.
  3. Dip the strawberries: Dip strawberries into the melted chocolate.
  4. Add toppings (optional): Sprinkle with desired toppings before the chocolate sets.
  5. Set the chocolate: Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
