Ingredients
  

Protein
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz can
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 pieces carrots sliced
  • 2 stalks celery sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Dumplings
  • 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough 16 oz
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Mix soup, broth, vegetables, and seasonings; pour over chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, then shred chicken and return to slow cooker.
  4. Cut biscuit dough into quarters and add to the slow cooker; cook on high for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For a thicker broth, cook uncovered for the last 15 minutes.
