Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled, sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss apples with lemon juice, sugar, and cinnamon. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  5. Let cool briefly before serving.
