Method
- Preheat grill to high heat.
- Pat the filet mignon steaks dry with paper towels.
- Lightly coat the steaks with olive oil.
- Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Optional: Place a sprig of rosemary or thyme on top of each steak.
- Grill the steaks for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer depending on desired doneness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for desired internal temperature (130-135°F for medium-rare).
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
