Method
- Wash and dry strawberries. Cut off stem end and top third.
- Whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Pipe cream onto the base of each strawberry.
- Place the 'hat' on top of the cream.
- Add a dollop of cream on top of the 'hat' for the pompom.
- Apply chocolate chips or sesame seeds as eyes.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, use very cold heavy cream and chill the bowl and beaters before whipping.
