Ingredients
  

Peaches
  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter; stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch dish. Spoon peach mixture over batter.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
