Ingredients
  

Meat and Beans
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
Vegetables and Aromatics
  • 1 each onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Method
 

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer beef to slow cooker, add vegetables, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth.
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Serve hot with toppings like cheese, sour cream, and green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or chopped cilantro before serving.
