Ingredients
  

Peaches
  • 4 cups sliced fresh peaches or canned, drained
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Ground cinnamon (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix peaches with 1/2 cup sugar and set aside.
  3. Combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch dish, top with peaches, and sprinkle cinnamon if desired.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden. Cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
