  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
  3. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear steaks for 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Remove skillet from heat; add butter, garlic, and rosemary.
  7. Spoon butter mixture over steaks.
  8. Transfer skillet to the preheated oven.
  9. Bake for 4-8 minutes for desired doneness; check temperature.
  10. Remove skillet from oven; rest steaks for 5-10 minutes.
  11. Spoon butter sauce over steaks before serving.
