Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 pound Italian beef sausage, sliced
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Broth & Canned Goods
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (28-ounce) crushed tomatoes
Pasta & Vegetables
  • 1 package (9-ounce) cheese tortellini
  • 2 cups spinach, fresh or frozen
Seasonings & Extras
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper Salt and pepper
For Serving

Method
 

  1. Brown sausage in a skillet, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add sausage, onion, and garlic to crockpot, then pour in broth and tomatoes.
  3. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then cook on low 4-6 hours.
  4. 15 minutes before serving, stir in tortellini and spinach, then cook until tender.

Notes

Use fresh spinach for best flavor, and adjust seasoning to taste.
