Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
Cheeses
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg egg
Sauces and Oils
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles, then set aside.
  2. Cook ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix ricotta, egg, salt, and pepper. Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta, beef, and cheeses in a baking dish. Repeat layers.
  4. Top with remaining sauce and cheeses. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
  5. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the lasagna rest before serving.
